• Heather Mills has claimed she wasn’t dumped as a client by her legal team at Mishcon de Reya but chose to go solo in the ongoing divorce battle to save money. Heather is said to have already accrued £1.5million of legal fees in the case so far and her new publicist explained: "It was agreed between them that she would suspend her representation from the firm due to financial reasons. She is perfectly capable of representing herself in court, as she has successfully done on a number of occasions regarding other matters."
• And in related news, Paul McCartney has reportedly told friends that his new rumoured romance with New York businesswoman Nancy Shevell has shown him the type of woman he wants to pursue from now on. A source close to the former Beatle told the Sunday Mirror: "The fact Nancy is successful in her own right makes him feel much more relaxed around her. Paul says she is not with him for what’s in it for her. He will certainly now only date women who have their own means. He won’t date someone who is not used to money."
