Celebrity News:

They’ve only been in the jungle for five minutes but it’s already handbags at dawn among the stars in this year’s I’m a Celebrity camp.

Bitching, backstabbing and bickering has marred the journey into the snake-infested, bug-ridden bush.

And it’s no surprise that the culprit is loud-mouthed ex-supermodel Janice Dickinson who declared hate at first sight with PR guru Lynne Franks.

There were certainly no happy campers among this pair when Lynne dubbed the American "brash" while Janice bit back, calling her "a shrew."

And while it started off ugly it can only get worse as the celebs learned the shocking twist to the new series of the reality show - they’ll have to battle each other for food.

The stars have been separated into two groups and only the winning team gets to eat a meal each day.

They looked stunned as they were split up before heading into the Australian jungle for the seventh series of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

Things turned took a turn for the worse before they had even left the hotel, with former manager of The Sex Pistols Malcolm McLaren refusing to leave the posh Versace Hotel and brave the jungle.

Janice and Lynne locked horns straight away as they argued over who should go and convince him to change his mind, with Lynne saying Janice would storm in there and put him off even more.

Feisty Janice didn’t take it too well, warning an unimpressed Lynne: "You don’t want me as an enemy - say nice things about me."

When she went to persuade Malcolm he shut the door in her face. Lynne didn’t have much better luck.

Later a stroppy Malcolm revealed: "I’ve got too many professional obligations, the commitment came far too late.

"This is 28 days, I don’t have the time.

"I’ve no interest. I am not interested in whoever it is out there. I am just not playing a role or a part in it.

"A lot of people are waiting for me. More important people.

"To be honest with you I don’t give a damn. I’m not scared at all.

"I came this way in good faith but I’m afraid I can’t stay.

"People say a lot of things. So do I. So what? I could turn round and say ‘I’m sick to death of this show. I’m going home, I’ve had enough’.

"I can’t do this show, I don’t have the time, patience, inclination, passion, will, interest or excitement,. I just simply don’t care."

In true I’m a Celeb style, the contestants couldn’t just stroll into the jungle. The Snake Rock campers, consisting of Hollyoaks pin-up Gemma Atkinson, Janice, former boyband member Jason ‘J’ Brown and Lynne had to row down a creek without oars.

The foursome lost some serious paddle power with the absence of Malcolm, who was expected to join them.

Self-confessed first supermodel Janice Dickinson, who had her tummy and neck tightened especially for her jungle jaunt, rubbed Lynne up the wrong way saying: I am a take charge kind of girl and I know because I’ve been in instances like this. I’ve done a safari in Africa, I’ve surfed, I’ve scuba-dived."

When she boasted: "I grew up in the swamp" Lynne retorted: "Why doesn’t that surprise me."

Later Lynne said "She’s competitive to the point of obsessive. She’s American and she’s brash and she’s loud and she’s noisy."

The pair couldn’t even agree over how to cook dinner, with Janice saying: "You can do whatever you want you shrew."

Poor Gemma and J were left feeling awkward and stuck in the middle of the warring pair.

In the morning they hugged and made up - but how long can they keep the peace for?

Meanwhile it was more harmonious for the Croc Creek gang, Football pundit Rodney Marsh, Changing Rooms star Anna Ryder Richardson, Former EastEnders star Marc Bannerman, Catatonia singer Cerys Matthews and Michelin starred chef John Burton Race.

They found themselves bungee jumping out of a helicopter from 1,000 feet up and marvelling over how well they were getting on.

Marc, 34, and Janice, 52, took on the first challenge to win food for the day.

The pair were strapped onto cogs where they were rotated round and had to pick stars out of containers full of slimy treats.

Janice who reckoned she wasn’t fazed by creepy-crawlies couldn’t put her money where her mouth is and panicked the minute she saw a container full of eels, forfeiting the round.

She braved the other two containers, one containing fish guts, but lost the challenge to Marc.

She said: "I never thought in my entire life that I would choke on anything.

"I’ve always been mostly fearless. I’m just disappointed for my teammates that they won’t be able to eat."

As she headed back to the camp she broke into tears and was comforted by her teammates.

Sadly she’ll have to go through it all again after been voted by the public to face the next challenge, against Rodney.
