The president, 77, married Bolocco, 42, in 2001, but announced in May 2007 that they had separated — after photographs were published of her sunbathing topless with an Italian friend in Miami. They have one son, 4-year-old Maximo.

The European prince, who reportedly once considered Marilyn Monroe for his bride, met Kelly in 1955 when he was 31 and she was a 25-year-old movie star. They married in 1956 and had three children, including the current Prince of Monaco, Albert II.

Chinese leader Mao Zedong and actress Jiang Qing.
Jiang Qing was a small-time actress in 1938 when got involved with Mao, who was still married to his third wife and was 21 years older. She gained enormous power through her marriage, and as one of the Gang of Four during the Cultural Revolution, used her position to persecute political enemies and brutalize China's artists and intellectuals. She was imprisoned after his death in 1976 and hanged herself while under house arrest in 1991 at age 77.

Eva Duarte met Juan Peron in 1945 as he was preparing for the presidency and a decade after she came to the capital to be a stage and radio actress. They were married a year later. She became a heroine to the poor and blue-collar workers. She helped get women the vote and her Eva Peron Foundation built schools and hospitals and bought gifts for needy children. She died of cancer at 33 in 1952 while Peron was still in office.
